I wasn't able to sleep last night so I had to drag myself earlier in SMX to attend the food expo sponsored by the UP Association of Biology Majors. I'm not really a "food enthusiast" but I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with helping kids - the project is for the benefit of Project Brave Kids.
I had a family lunch to attend after the event so I had to leave by 12pm. This is what my sister and I ate. It's super sulit because those four meals only cost 200 total.
We had cupcakes after from Sassy Delights. We ordered their Red Velvet and Cookie Dough which were just 50 pesos each. I overheard the owner that they were still baking at around 5am in the morning! In fairness, it was really good! Not Sonja's but getting there.
This reminds me of our own stall where we sell soya-based frappes. I think soya will be the next big ingredient. So many stuff can actually be done with this product.
We weren't able to take much photos because I was feeling like a zombie earlier, but for those who also love food gadgets, they also offer them there.
These were super chic popcorn and cotton candy makers. Very vintage chic!
Of course if you are a food lover and your girlfriend isn't, you can still enjoy the fair because there are clothing stalls there as well. They were even selling denim skirts which are among the hottest trends this season for only 100 pesos!
If you're looking for accessories, we found this stall selling homemade rings and necklace bowties! Haven't seen something like that before. The owner of this booth is from La Salle and she's so perky. Sorry I wasn't able to take not of the name of her store.
Before leaving, we bought several of these "ginger beer" from Australia because for some reason, my mom likes ginger when she's sick. I haven't tasted them yet.
The good thing about this event, aside from having its own charity, is that the organizers knew my face so I don't need to present my ID to get in. Haha! If you've got nothing to do, drop by SMX Hall 1. They are open from 11am till 9pm! You may even get the chance to win in their raffles!
