Salvacion Lim Higgins, known as Slim to associates and friends, was a legendary Philippine couturier and the founder of Slim's Fashion and Arts School in Makati. She is considered as the successor of the first great Filipino haute couture designer Ramon Valera.
Her works are part of our national heritage that's why I feel honored to be watching her designs take life in the runway. Breathtaking silhouettes! And some of her designs are actually modern considering that she was born in 1920. Here are some of her pieces from last night's show.
Kevin told me the model below is Claire Unabia from America's Next Top Model cycle 10.
Danica Magpantay in a powerful black cape!
... and Charo Ronquillo!!! She took my breath away!
